RULES AND REGULATIONS

General instructions

  • Students should be polite and courteous in behavior. By no means they should disrespect to any member of the College staff and be rude to their fellow students.
  • Students are advised to select their course of studies and subjects with sufficient care. Change of subjects is not allowed .
  • Prescribed text books must be secured immediately as class – work starts. It is sheer waste of time and money to continue in a class without having tools of work.
  • Impersonation at Roll Call is a serious offence.
  • Students, as well as parents and guardians, are requested to bear in mind that the admission to the College implies in all cases an automatic undertaking on the part of the student to abide by its rules & discipline. Disorderly behavior within or outside class – rooms, shouting or screaming, defacing or damaging College property are gross breaches of discipline and are dealt with severely students must not assemble in front of the class room   and staff – room before/ after classes are over, nor should they loiter in the corridor when classes are being held.
  • Students requiring certificates should submit applications, with relevant particulars, at least three working days before the certificates are required. Papers for attestation and Railways, Tram and Bus concession forms for signature should similarly be submitted at least three working days before they are required.
  • Students must not enter office without valid reasons and disturb work in the office.
  • The College Telephone is not meant for the students.

     

    Important information

    1. We repeat once more that any failure to comply with the attendance [i.e., minimum 60%] – rule may  ultimately lead to loss of Semester. The College Authority in this regard will entertain no request.
    2. Approval of Scholarship(s) and any type of certificate if required, contact the College Office.
    3. Railway Concession Forms can be obtained from the College Office by outstation students and  applications made in accordance with Railway guidelines.
    4. Concession of Tuition Fees, Financial Help, and student may contact to the Department as well as College office.
    5. Although the College does not insist on a formal dress code, it is expected that the students will wear decent clothes within the College premises, keeping in mind the sanctity and reputation of an academic institution. No student is to compromise on self – dignity and self- respect in matters of dress –  selection. We leave the choice to the students but the liberty should not be misused.
    6. Use of Mobile Phones in the Classrooms/ Library/ Laboratory/ Corridor is strictly prohibited. A breach of conduct on this count may invite sever punishment like permanent confiscation of the mobile phone, Guardian Call etc.
    7. The Principal may in the interest of the institution require a student to leave the College without assigning any reason. In such a case Transfer Certificate will be issued free of charge.
    8. Academic Reports are sent to Parents or Guardians about the conduct and quality of work of the students. The Principal invites cooperation of the students and their guardians in making the process of education fruitful and in maintaining general order of discipline.
    9. Notice will be available in the College website – www.sajaipuriacollege.ac.in, and student should be in touched with office and also department for academic purpose.

     

    Registration and Migration

    CU Registration and Migration:

    Registration:
    Students joining the College are required to get their names registered with the University of Calcutta immediately after admission is over. They must, for the purpose, fill in the prescribed forms and sign (available at the college office) and submit the necessary documents [scan copy] in support of application for the purpose Registration from University of Calcutta. It may be noted that without Registration, student will not be allowed to appear in the University Examination.
    Already Registered i.e., having CU Registration No. may submit application along with registration certificate to the college office.

    Migration Certificate:
    Students coming from other States-Board/Council /University; other than West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education [WBCHSE], and CBSE, ISC, NOI, WBMBSE, WBRMV] must submit the migration Certificate [in Original] to the college office within one month from the date of admission, and treated as provisionally admitted student till the admission has to be confirmed by the Calcutta University.
    Such students must at once apply, as early as possible, to the own Boards/Council/University, which they have left, for migration certificate / permission to join Calcutta University for study. After submission of Migration Certificate they are required, to apply to the Registrar of University of Calcutta in the prescribed form, for the approval of their admission, along with the prescribed Migration Fee.
    It should be noted that Transfer Certificates cannot be issued to provisionally admitted- student on migration from other Boards/Council/University before their admission is formally approved by the Calcutta University. He/she may discontinue the course with prior submission of letter to college office.
